From the illustrations in your citing I would welcome the vehicle if those who propel it are neocons or far right radicals.
References :
Why are Liberals opposed to the development of the lectica, and alternative fuel vehicle???
I recently encountered a gaggle of Liberals who were discussing their desire to cripple the US auto-industry and economy by demanding that all vehicles be powered by “alternative fuels”, something that would cause the price of vehicles to skyrocket, ensure that only the rich could afford vehicles, cause a huge drop in the number of people purchasing automobiles, and put thousands of blue-collar auto-workers out of work.

In an attempt to “contribute”, I suggested that we reintroduce and further develop a vehicle called the lectica which is powered by table scraps, an alternative fuel, and releases no exhaust other then biodegradable waste.

http://www.vroma.org/~araia/litter.html
This vehicle is basically a covered padded bench or bed that is carried by slaves known as lecticarii. Since slaves can be fed table scraps and only excrete bio-waste as emissions (and the slaves could even be ordered to pick up their emissions), this vehicle would appear to be the perfect eco-friendly vehicle.

Furthermore, with the hegemonious strength of US military and the high reproductive rates in the world’s weaker nations, we would have an almost unlimited, and cheap, supply of lecticarii to power our lectica.

Yet, for some reason, these Liberals opposed the idea of developing this eco-friendly vehicle.

Why would Liberals oppose the development of such an eco-friendly vehicle???
Personally, I just think that the ’69 Charger, the Willy’s Coup, and other gasoline powered vehicles are much more efficient, much “cooler”, and much more desirable then the lectica, but, so long as Liberals continue to demand that America abandon such great technological accomplishments as the internal combustion engine, why don’t they return to proven environmentally friendly vehicles such as the lectica???
