I am a mechatronics student and I would like to apply my education in a project related to renewable energy.
I have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Mechatronics is my postgrad study. Maybe that's why I am directed towards energy applications for mechatronics.

Hardly. Mechatronics is mostly used in the entertainment industry. As far as I can tell the mains application is mostly a high tech version of puppeteering.

If you want to go into renewable energy, you might want to study chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering instead and specialize appropriately.
