    i predict that no one energy source can replace fossil fuels.

    realistically, i can see a future powered by a mix: biofuel, nuclear breeder, solar, orbital solar, wind, wave, geothermal, etc etc

    Wind Farms seem to be the most sought after renewable energy out there at the moment. More news comes out about that type than any other than I know of.
